Life is a joy; so should be learning! Carden Country School is an independent private school founded in 1998. We teach students in grades K-8, and draw children from Bainbridge Island and surrounding communities. The Carden method ensures that teachers teach children, not just material. Teachers nurture each child and eliminate discouragement while fostering a lasting love of learning. Children are encouraged to grow in curiosity, resourcefulness, understanding, and independence - as well as knowledge. Parental involvement assures a meaningful partnership for learning between teacher, student and parent. Biblical principles are interwoven in each discipline to reinforce the relevance and application of scripture to real life situations. Faculty members are selected for their knowledge, their talents for teaching, and their enthusiasm for learning, as well as for their experience. Our facility is located on a spacious working farm and consists of five classrooms, a library area, and computer access in upper school classrooms.
