Enrollment indicates your acceptance of the financial contract.

Admission Test Fee

Entrance testing is required prior to admission and a $50 fee is due with each application. This fee is non-refundable and payable to Carden Country School.  Testing will take place on Saturday mornings in May.

Enrollment Deposit

A non-refundable enrollment deposit of one full month’s tuition, fully creditable against the final payment of the next year’s tuition, is due within two weeks of acceptance, or by May 1st of the previous academic year.  Enrollment indicates your acceptance of the financial contract.

Curriculum Fee

The curriculum fee is a yearly fee that covers consumable and non-consumable curriculum, educational, and art materials. Parents will be notified of any additional fees (i.e. field trips, special projects, standardized testing fee, and athletics). The curriculum fee is equal to 1/10th of the annual tuition and is due August 1st.

Early Withdrawals

Families who register for Carden Country School are making a commitment for the full school year. The financial health of the school is predicated upon all students completing the school year.

Each school year is comprised of two semesters. Families who withdraw a student before the end of the semester must pay tuition for the remainder of that semester. Families that give at least three weeks written notice and withdraw at the end of the first semester will owe no additional tuition beyond any unpaid tuition for the first semester. There will be a $300 withdrawal fee for families who fail to give a three week written notice when withdrawing at the end of the first semester.

All school property must be returned and all current tuition and fees paid before the school will authorize withdrawal and release grades and transcripts.

Annual tuition is payable on a ten month schedule- September 1 through June 1. Tuition should be placed in the Tuition Envelope located on the office bulletin board by the 5th of each month or mailed to:

Financial Aid

Affording a quality education takes planning, and most families employ several strategies to keep the costs within reach.  In this planning, it is important to realize that the family bears the primary responsibility for financing a child’s education to the extent that it is able.  We encourage families to pursue tuition and loan programs, as well as 3rd party payment plans. Carden awards a limited number of financial aid grants based upon the financial need of a family.  The money for these grants comes directly from the school’s budget, and demonstrates Carden’s commitment to having a socioeconomically diverse student population.

Carden has retained the services of The School and Student Service for Financial Aid (referred to as “SSS”), a non-profit organization, affiliated with the National Association of Independent Schools.  To be considered for such assistance, parents should go to the SSS website, https://sss.ets.org.  There, complete a Parent’s Financial Statement (“PFS”), on which you’ll include the Carden Country School Code: 4402.  The SSS helpline may be reached by calling (866)387-2601.

Carden will review requests after receipt of the report from SSS.  Please address questions to financialaid@cardencountryschool.org.

Reenrollment

Re-enrollment will begin March 1 of each school year for the next school year. Forms and information will be sent home with each family presently enrolled. Re-enrollment forms and fees must be returned to the school office by April 1st to ensure placement for the following academic year. NOTE: Current enrollment does not guarantee re-enrollment without receipt of appropriate fees and forms.
